Individuals seeking a career in a quiet studious accountancy
practice have just arrived at the wrong page. The people
in this buzzing office consider that they are providing an
all round business advice service to a wide range of clients
that happens to include preparation of accounts.
Everyone is focused on providing
the service that clients want not what we think they should
have. As business conditions
change and new opportunities arise members of the stephen-hill
team have to reinvent both themselves and the approach they
have to the work they do. stephen-hill have expanded rapidly
since arriving in Longfield in 1995. In summer 2006 an opportunity arose to merge with the compliance section of QED Tax Consulting. While this was a challenge for all of us we successfully merged four new members of staff and the extra client base seamlessly into the firm. However the firm’s normal philosophy has been to develop its own talented members of
staff from trainee positions straight from university, college
or school.
Of the current team, eight have joined
the firm from this route. Others have joined having started
their studying with
other firms. The firm’s development has allowed these
individuals to develop into roles that in some cases did
not even exist when they joined the firm. Having a young
and enthusiastic team generates new ideas and attracts new
business allowing the firm to expand further and open up
new opportunities for everyone.
