Small firms are warned when choosing Internet service providers
Small businesses have been advised by Internet marketing firm Callgen not to choose their ISP purely on the price but instead have been recommended to look into the other factors such as customer support services, network performance and download limits before making a purchase.
According to Nat-West Bank, 87 per cent of small businesses now have an Internet connection, compared with 14 per cent in 1996 and with the cost of broadband continuing to decline, Internet service providers are trying to under cut each other by reducing their price. Small firms often take this offer without being made aware as to how much after sales services will cost and how efficient the service is.
