Steve Backley OBE
As you may know, our highest profile client is Steve Backley OBE. The most successful British athlete of all time in terms of championship medals, Steve’s story is truly inspirational.
Hit by a car whilst on a training run, a promising childhood running career was brought to a dramatic end. But the end of one event became the start of another as Steve turned to a throwing event and by the age of twenty had become world record holder in the javelin and world athlete of the year in 1990. Undefeated in European Championships from 1990 until his retirement, Steve won 13 championship medals including three in the Olympics.
Nowadays he is an accomplished speaker to businesses up and down the country and one of our directors business guru Malcolm Palmer will be sharing a platform with him at a series of events taking place in the Autumn and Spring.
